We cannot have perfection until after this life.
So how can we expect its quality now?
God loves us, and will give us what we need; guidance in scripture, peace in prayer, and power in the priesthood, as well as dealing with the hard choices of others, weakening afflictions and diseases to those close to us, and all that we have.
Do we trust that? When we do trust that? We can dismiss the doubt that has covered our faith. The feelings of joy and peace are gifts and confirmations of the Spirit .
"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. " John 14:27
These feelings of peace and assurance can be hard to recognize, for we experience them firsthand. For all, young and old, we must affirm these truths with our Heavenly Father. Others have their agency, but we are to be a testimony to others of the correctness of the Spirit. As our father has taught us, he teaches us with love and kindness, charity and listening. If you cannot simply try now to sincerely love, listen, and guide each other, you may as well tear each other down for centuries to come, 'til you are swallowed up in your anger and lose sight of what you had hoped for. Trust your spouse, that they have the best intentions for you, and you will be able to change into a source of guidance and example of what growing young men and women should look for in a spouse.
