I feel pretty good, I'm rediscovering my purpose again: Learning with really basic Christlike attributes. I feel like going to sleep, and I think I need some help seeing the larger picture of all this work. I keep hearing from other missionaries of the succuess in the past, and in other missions, and I honestly feel like I am in a mindset where that doesn't really let me see the focus and reason of baptism. It will be my focus to see the purpose and working to be obedient, virtuoues, faithful. These are the Lord's standards, and until we meet them, then we can have the doctrine in our hearts!
Following up with the lesson we had with a last active/partmember last week; Sister Xie made great progress. For the first time in the longest time, I really felt the spirit; we worked together in unity, we were speaking the mission language, we set expectations, we followed the lesson plan, and used a lot of the bom, had good questions. SO the lesson was as it should have been, and was everything we planned it to be. yet we still felt like we could have greater unity in it. i think if we help any of the language program areas to improve their teaching, it will be based in the languages the missionaries speak in their companionships. Anyways, a lot of times, I feel puzzled, even amazed at other's faith; as if I do not know where their faith is from. yet i do know what faith is founded on, and I'm still awestruck and motivated feeling the effects of others faith! I think it's similar to when Jesus marvels at the centuriions faith as he heals. I think I will be looking for the signs of other's faith, hopefully it can push the work this week!
We have a new president coming in!!! President Frandsen!
This week was different, we had a lot of appointments get dropped halfway through, and the work changed from teaching to finding!
The interesting thing this week was the rain, it was amazing! A curtain of diamonds, we got big fat rain this week! It was sunny and gorgeous, oh and boy did it smell good with the lilac blossoms! Wish I could show the video, but I don't have the camera!
English class students are fun; it's getting kinda interesting because some tried to hug me this week... and the others told me to marry their kids... Their making good progress. We'll be having a party this week before we teach English class to help us celebrate Chinese new year because the students want to thank us for working on Chinese new year! They're pretty sweet!
Hey ma, help me out with some teaching skills ( you're a great teacher, but i need to inherit your goodliness!!) I need some English Second Language help, and some advice on teaching children!
Thank you Mom and Dad for your responses; I know it's a sign of the gospel that you both emulate that process of planning, to look for what's good, and even improvements that we can make. Only because of our Savior;) Love the family, and I hope to hear from you next week! Sorry jessica, hope your digestion turns out better (I found some Kumquats this week;) Jasmine, tell me what you think about the twelve week program! Sam, all my friends are getting mission calls and accepted to college, and i don't hear anything about you?!!! Stephen, my investigator Elaine talks about you always, and she really wants to hug you (she's pretty much your grandma now;) Ma & PA, love you so much, thank you for handling all my junk, I hope the garage is according to safety procedures, I think I want your conversion stories next week. My investigator Elaine also hopes to hear more about how you learned about the Gospel!
